The Samaritan Woman at the Well
This Samaritan woman was considered "bad" on many levels, but her courage to speak to the young Rabbi shows her deep level of love and concern for her religion, her God and her thirst for more "living water."

Creative Interpretation of Queen of Sheba
Many believe that the story of Solomon and Sheba is one of the oldest love stories dating back over 3,000 years. This story is both folklore and legend told by Christians, Hebrews, and Muslims the world over. It is one representing intellectual levels and how God's plan was to bring Judaism to the Gentiles in Africa through this beautiful, intelligent person of royalty. Using the story of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba found in 1 Kings Chapter 10: 1-13, outside sources and inspiration from the Holy Spirit; the following is my interpretation of the love story between Solomon and Sheba.

Creative Interpretation of Rhoda
They thought she was mad or hallucinating. This lowly, humble servant girl showed joy and courage by breaking the “rules” of exclaiming wonderful and powerful news to the ones who doubted that Peter was alive.

Creative Interpretation of Eve
Most of us are very familiar with this early story. She was “bad”, but she asked God for forgiveness and she had a great deal of courage and bravery, and she received the ultimate promise from God. How would you have reacted if you were her?

Creative Interpretation (Poetry) of Sarah, Abraham, Hagar. "Was This God's Plan?"
No matter how hard we try to orchestrate and arrange our lives, it doesn’t always turn out the way we want it to be. And, our goals don’t always happen as fast as we’d like them. There is always a bigger picture of who’s plan is it? God’s....or yours?

Creative Interpretation of Ruth
This unique woman has attributes many of us admire. Especially, the fact the she got along so well with her mother-in-law all the time. Both of these women always put God first and trusted Him for their unquenchable strength.

Creative Interpretation of Queen Esther
The lovely heroic queen, Esther, is a fairytale come true. A rags to riches story that has the makings for a great Disney movie. There is a courageous young woman, Esther; a fairy godfather, who is her cousin Mordecai; a handsome prince, in this case a powerful king, Xerxes; and the evil antagonist, Haman. There is intrigue and excitement as the righteousness of love wins out in the end. If you have never read the Book of Esther, you are in store for quite an adventure. I chose to write her life of drama, intrigue and courage into a ballad.

Creative Interpretation of Elizabeth
“How kind the Lord is! He has taken away my disgrace of having no children”! These were Elizabeth’s words of praise to God when she found out she would have a child. She lived a religious, and pious life; observing all the Lord's commands and decrees blamelessly.

Creative Interpretation of Mary Magdalene
This courageous woman is a very complex "Bad" Girl of the Bible. She’s been called all sorts of things and all types of stories have been told about her. Some are true and some are not. Gleaning from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Phillip, Andrew, and excerpts of the Gospel of Mary Magdalene; she has become a very controversial figure. Books and movies have portrayed her in different ways, but what no one can take from her, is that she was the first to see the risen Lord!

Creative Interpretation of Adulterous Woman
Could the Adulterous Woman and the Sinful Woman with the Alabaster Jar be one in the same person?Reading John and Luke's account of these two women can bring this into speculation.
Although we think of both these women as very “Bad” girls, the Adulterous Woman and the Sinful Woman repented and received God’s grace and mercy. Their bravery and courage, was admitting and confessing their sins to the Lord. Both understood that strength for forgiveness and mercy comes only from a loving God.

Creative Interpretation of The Mary Show
There are 5 different Mary's mentioned in the New Testament. Some are identified by more than one name. This humorous poem identifies each one and their individual acts of courage to become "The Bad Girls of the Bible"

Creative Interpretation of A Gift From Heaven
For the next few minutes, a woman from the Old Testament is going to give a first hand account and her opinion on what it was like to be without a child for most of her life. Looking down from Heaven, this is her modern day perspective.
Psalm 113:9
“He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children”

Creative Interpretation of
Rachel
This is a story about hate, love, rivalry, and finally peace. Her love for Jacob was a story gone wild. Her prayers to the Lord for her to bare a child were finally answered many years later.

Creative Interpretation (Poetry) of Mary, Jesus' Mother
Most of us at one time or another have written a poem or letter to our Mother expressing our love and gratitude for all she did or does for us. In this original piece, these could be the loving words Jesus may have expressed to His mother, Mary.

Creative Interpretation of Widow With 2 Coins
Poverty means to “lack something”. One can “lack” money or material needs, or one can
“lack” or have poverty of their Spiritual needs. This widow is recognized by Jesus as having a giving, contrite heart. She gave all she had. Humbly and willingly.

Creative Interpretation of Phoebe
“I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae.” These were words
spoken by Paul which endorsed her as a minister of the Church of God. What did she say to the
churches of Rome?

Creative Interpretation of Queen Amuhia
Little is known about the Queen of Babylon who was King Nebuchadnezzar’s wife. There are three verses in the Book of Daniel where she speaks to the king regent, Belshazzar, expressing her knowledge of Daniel’s great insight and his God. She was said to be a very intelligent woman and I like to think she became a follower of Yahweh by witnessing Daniel’s prophecies and using her God given intellect.

Creative Interpretation of The Widow of Zarepath
She was desperate. With only enough flour and oil to make her last meal for her son and herself, she has incredible faith in what Elijah says to her. Here was a Jewish Prophet talking with a Gentile woman. Not a common everyday occurrence, but something inside of her told her to trust him. This is a story of faith and restored life of the soul by having renewed faith and hope in the Lord.

Creative Interpretation of Miriam
She sang lofty praises to God and led the women in dance and song. A prophet and leader among women, Miriam, like all of us had her flaws and sins. It didn’t matter to God, he loved her anyway and gave her wonderful gifts to share with her people.

Creative Interpretation of Dorcas
Talk about a testimony of faith and love! Dorcas was known for her acts of charity, “she was always doing good and helping the poor.”
It was amazing how a simple needle and thread could create a tapestry of disciples for Christ.
She was sewn into the garment of life, death, and resurrection to help spread the glorious news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection to others!

Creative Interpretation of Lydia
Lydia was the first woman convert to Christianity and a charter member of the Church of Philippi.
"If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” Her home became the gathering place for teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. Purple became synonymous with passion, royalty, and wealth. Christ’s words and life became the color purple in her life, with brilliant shades of crimson which reflected His Passion, Richness, and Royalty, and the wealth of our inheritance of Heaven. Hospitality is a powerful gift!

Creative Interpretation of Priscilla
Cutting the fabric precise was as important as hearing and teaching the Gospel correctly. Just as Paul, Aquila, and I cut the cloth precisely for the tents we made, we precisely spoke the Gospel with precision and exactness and strength. God used me as an instrument, like a strong, sturdy tent for which Apollos could rely on for truth and knowledge about our Lord and Savior!

Creative Interpretation of Syrophoenician Woman
Because Jesus travelled into Gentile territory, it gave the Syrophoenician Woman the opportunity to go and seek him out. Her desperate situation opened her heart to reach out to Jesus and let him into her life. Her actions showed she was ready and willing to accept him. Jesus' love and salvation has no prejudices or borders. He is the same with a man or a woman, rich or poor, servant or master, Jew or Gentile. We should learn this lesson for how we treat others. Jesus has crossed over into your life. Are you ready and willing to meet and accept him?
The Bible and other religious writings
have many stories about women and their role in history. There are very bad
girls and then there are the women
who might have done things that seemed bad, but their courage,
bravery, and trust was always for the glory of God. These women were so 'Bad' that they were actually 'Good',
just like in the sixties when the slang was "You're so bad" really meant "You're so good!" These women from both Testaments were instrumental in God’s saving plan for His people. For clips and information about my stories, please scroll down on the left
